There are a number of very helpful software tools out there to make me more productive at home and when I’m at work. Some of them, but not all, are free downloads. In particular I am thinking about the importance of antivirus software for my computer.

One thing to understand from the beginning is that you can find free virus protection software, but it is intended only for your home computer. Although the free software will protect you from the most terrible attacks, there are other threats that can be a problem. Just know that the free downloads will not give you the same protection as the full packages that are sold at a modest price.

As we all move in the direction of less and less paper at the office, it means we need to be able to work with many different file types, from a wide variety of software applications. Translating to pdf format spreadsheets, database results, document files and photographs will be more and more common.

You’ll find a few different competing companies that offer products to facilitate working with pdf files. If you are going to write, edit and perform other tasks, you are likely to need the Acrobat software by Adobe, although there are other choices available. If all you want to do is read pdf files, and do not need to edit or create them, the free Reader software may be all you need.

I stumbled upon the master cleanse program while looking for more info on fasting, it appears to be a very popular one and is considered pretty solid. Some of you may remember it as the same ‘diet’ Beyonce used to lose a few pounds for Dreamgirls.

After reading the reactions of others on the internet to the cleanse I found it very encouraging and also informative of what it truly takes to complete. I contacted a few people about their experiences with the master cleanser and some did not get past day 2 or 3 which appears to be where most stumble. As most fasts require not eating I have never been able to stick with it for more than a day. Technically, being a juice fast the lemon juice maple syrup diet does offer some sustenance (the lemonade drink used for the cleanse is also why it is called the lemonade diet by some.)

The Master Cleanse follows a simple routine, however it isn’t exactly easy. Even with so few rules to follow it can be trying due to the will power required to get past the first few days. Luckily I came across a book that gives you lots of tips and tricks to make the cayenne pepper diet a much smaller challenge.

It is hyped a lot for the weight loss one can achieve but I’m not over-weight so that is not why I am interested in it. I am looking to get the toxin cleansing that it was originally created for. I’d been really run down lately and had read too many accounts of how mcuh better one can feel after fasting. That made me decide to give it one more chance.

The original book states to spend 10 days on the cleansing program, though I’ve heard of people staying on it longer. Like 20+ days long.. I decided to commit to only 5 days to see how I reacted. Considering I never made it past 2 days before that was quite an accomplishment.

I have to give credit to the secrets book. It was a great resource that kept me going when I hit a sticking point . Knowing it was there with answers gave me a lot more confidence going into the cleanse. The extra confidence surely led to my success.

Luckily I went to see my doctor for a check-up recently so the timing was good. I strongly urge anyone interested in trying any kind of fast to speak with their doctor first to make sure everything is OK before diving in.

I fell so much better after the 5 day cleanse that I think I am going to go for the full ten days next time. One suggestion I can offer is to take it easy when trasnitioning back into eating (the secrets book gives excellent guidance on this.)
