The End of The World in 2012 – Truth or Fiction
According to ancient mayan calendar 2012 is the year when our planet will be destroyed. Is this so though? And what will it bring? Many theories abound about it. Some people believe that the earth is going to be torn apart by some sort of spatial object. Many think it could be a black hole that does the damage. The fabled Planet X, Nibiru, could be returning after its epic orbit around our sun. Planet X will pass very close to the earth, and its gravitational pull will harm our planet.
Another theory is that a huge asteroid is going to slam into the planet. However, many scientists have pointed out that there is no asteroid on a collision course with earth, or at least not one that we can detect. There will be a “close” asteroid encounter, but this close is actually more than eighteen times the distance from the moon to our earth away. Although in astronomical terms this is close, it is not close enough to cause concern amongst astronomers and scientists.
Other people believe that a solar flare is going to trigger a geomagnetic reversal. The reversal will supposedly have the effect of change the two poles polarity, causing massive natural disasters.
